This course will address the specific requirements of the recently updated ANSI Standard for the measurement of single-family residential dwellings and the Fannie Mae requirement that it be used for determining and classifying the square footage of single-family residential appraisals as of April 1, 2022. Specific attention is given to the reporting of finished and unfinished areas with respect to their relationship to grade level as well as requirements relating to the classification of areas with respect to ceiling heights and access. Instructor Mike Orman, FASA, AFAS, IFAC. Participants will gain a better understanding of lender/client expectations with respect to the appraisal report content and identifies common deficiencies with respect to the development and communication of the appraisal. This course has been developed by The Appraisal Foundation and is the required semiannual USPAP update course necessary for licensed and certified real estate appraiser license renewal.
